this compilation showcases the latest signings and the best of the
12"s that were released in the last few months on grand central.
there are exclusive tracks as well as sneak previews of
forthcoming albums from kate rogers, niko, the nudge and riton.
the compilation follows in the vein of the blue housebag
collection which was released in february of this year. it
provides the opportunity for people who donÆt buy vinyl to hear
what they would have only heard in clubs. the last six months have
seen grand central release eight 12" singles and five albums.
three albums were debuts along with the second album from only
child, and a compilation of early aim singles. the label also
signed 2 new artists (a total of five artists joining us this
year). there is an increasing diversity of music coming from the
grand central roster. the hip hop of funky fresh few, the
orchestral grooves of jon kennedy, the soul daddy of the dance
floor only child and our newest signing rob smith (ex smith &
mighty) all feature on this new collection. ritonÆs avant garde
take on bleeps and beats and nikoÆs new material add a real edge
     to the album.
