CDR's always draw flak yet within the darker side of the underground CDR's
tend more than not to place quality (and often content)as high as possible;
Sine Nomine is no exception to the rule.
The first track propels into sinuous sine tones threaded through pulsing
rhythm, gargling vocals in the background bleed out as whispers, evoking
tense and clinical moments of eerily empty hospitals and sanitariums. The
tracks swing from minimalist electronica to drifts of ambience, yet
retaining a cohesive essence. Peter Andersson's Atom Elektrine comes
to mind though Sine Nomine's rhythmic elements are less archaic brought
into the now as opposed to a modern applied to the past.
If you at all like Atom Elektrine or Robert Rich you may enjoy the audio
precision and variety of Sine Nomine.
Released in a jewel-case with printed 4-page booklet and tray insert, the
CDR with CD label.
NOTE: Tracks 9 through 12 on the CDDA are silence and have been removed
with the hidden track (originally #13) renamed as track 09 for posterity.
ALSO: Included is a data track that came on the disc, which is an mp3 of a
track not in the CDDA. This mp3 has NOT been re-encoded and is presented
as it was delivered. As you will notice the name of the 'band' is
presented as Sin(E)n.
