Al Kent, 1967: R&B instrumentalist, writer and producer. Al
Kent, 2003: maverick producer, DJ, promoter and record label
supremo. Al Kent, real name Ewan Kelly, jumped feet first
into the scene forming a friendship with Glasgow house
svengali Stevie 'Sole' Middleton that led to 3 EPs on the
Tronicsole label and several more on Discosole.
In 1998 he set up the Million Dollar Disco label, gaining
solid support for its releases. The turning came with the
third release, 'Good Inside' by Magic Touch which was snapped
up by Azuli records and reached out to touch the world. Since
then, Million Dollar Disco has gone from strength to
strength. Al's life-long process of listening, feeling and
developing has culminated in the release two new EPs "Dreams"
and "Come on Girl/Soulman".
