▐█▒▒▒ obviously; for working out to, indubitably; for sexin' to, ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ quite possibly; for cleaning house to, apparently. Let's ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ just say that there's an empty space in my room where ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ a stack of dishes and a pile of laundry used to live, but ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ no more, since a certain absurdly long double CD ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ found its way to me via my invisible friends at Splendid, ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ and the pulsating made me compulsive. Only a devout ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ connoisseur of dance music could listen to two hours ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ and thirty-five minutes of the same nine songs ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ repeatedly re-mixed without getting fidgety. So, after ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ tidying up my entire house, I changed into my clubbing ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ outfit and tested the album out in my living room, only ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ to discover that the multiple versions of "Connect" and ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ "Bed of Roses" on disc one do not differ enough from ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ one another to inspire bold changes in dance moves. ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ The best thing about disc one, besides the exuberant ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ Electroca$h Disco Remix of "Love and Dancing", ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ which features a Dave Gahanesque British male ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ insisting that "We love to dance, we love to love", is ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ the hidden track, a delightfully bizarre pastiche of ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ music box sounds and Casio beats, vaguely ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ reminiscent of a Points-era Negativland. Where did ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ this come from and why doesn't the whole album ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ sound like this? It's closer to Raymond Scott than to ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ generic dance music, and is an utterly sublime ending. ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ Disc two, thankfully, limits itself to four versions of ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ "Connect" and two of "Bed of Roses", making room ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ for a groovy version of the Neil Young-penned ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ Nicolette Larson hit "Lotta Love" and a remix of New ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ Order's "Your Silent Face". These discs reek of the ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ '80s: there's even a moment when, for no apparent ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ reason, vocalist Billy Miller busts out into Morrissey's ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ "Every Day is Like Sunday" in the middle of "Calling ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ Home". At moments like that, I do feel like dancing, ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ Factory records-style, a 24-hour party person in an ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ anonymous Euro-city, until the sun rises and the ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ bakeries open and we all go out for croissants ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ ▒▒▒██
▐█▒▒▒ Now enough talk, grab this awesome release.. ▒▒▒██
