`: Themes also play an important role :'
`: too and concentrates on the likes of :'
`: torture, sexual deviancies and :'
`: murder û particularly Japanese :'
`: murderers, considering two EPs are :'
`: based and named after the infamous :'
`: Issei Sagawa and Tsutomu Miyazaki. :'
`: Gnaw Their Tongues is not for the :'
`: faint-hearted. :'

`: That out of the way, ôEschatological :'
`: Scatologyö is a previously :'
`: unreleased album, written and :'
`: recorded in 2008/2009 and only :'
`: seeing the light of day now. :'
`: Although this means that he hasnÆt :'
`: æchangedÆ direction, this release :'
`: sees a more direct black metal :'
`: approach. Despite being noise- :'
`: orientated, the pace in comparison :'
`: to some of the other releases is :'
`: faster with blastbeats, tremolo :'
`: picking and muddied screeching :'
`: vocals. :'

`: The album opens with the title :'
`: track, a blistering and distorted :'
`: blastbeat-orientated machine, with a :'
`: very atmospheric and depressive :'
`: guitar progression along with :'
`: MauriceÆs tormented and :'
`: unintelligible vocals. The constant :'
`: changes throughout the song keeps :'
`: you on your toes and never really :'
`: gives you a chance to fully absorb a :'
`: section before youÆre flurried by :'
`: the next, the organisation being :'
`: brutal by itself. :'

`: Fourth track Lash Cultus begins with :'
`: a dizzying mix of these rising and :'
`: discordant horns, with the drums :'
`: kicking into full speed with a :'
`: ridiculously distorted and buzzing :'
`: bass. Again, the constant changes :'
`: are ruthless, demanding attention :'
`: and really puts you through :'
`: interesting paces and settings. In :'
`: The Golden Alter Burns, weÆre given :'
`: a nod towards a more traditional :'
`: black metal state, generally a lot :'
`: more æfriendlyÆ in comparison to the :'
`: rest of the album. The tremolo riff :'
`: especially resonates a Blut Aus Nord :'
`: and Thorns vibe, but muddied in :'
`: distortion. :'

`: However, the rest of the album :'
`: pretty much keeps to the same as :'
`: Lash Cultus and Eschatological :'
`: Scatology in nature and so :'
`: considering that the album is just :'
`: over 51-minutes in length, the :'
`: constant punishing attack on your :'
`: senses can feel sickly at times û :'
`: and while being a fan of Gnaw Their :'
`: Tongues, itÆs admittedly a tiring :'
`: album for a complete, uninterrupted :'
`: sitting. :'

`: However if youÆre looking for extra :'
`: harsh, noisy black metal then :'
`: ôEschatological Scatologyö is :'
`: definitely worth checking out and if :'
`: youÆre already a fan, then this :'
`: should be just sit right for you. :'
