Sound In Silence is very pleased to welcome J.R Alexander (aka Message To
Bears) with his new Moments EP.
Being already well known under the moniker of Message To Bears, the
multi-instrumentalist Jerome Alexander has released so far two albums, one EP
and one split album, all of them on the recently closed Dead Pilot Records.
This time he releases his new EP under a different alias, choosing for the
first time to use his real name as the new tracks take a more electronic
direction. Moments EP is slightly less ambient and more beat based than his
previous releases, while some of its tracks could have easily been released
under the name of Message To Bears.
On Moments EP, J.R Alexander demonstrates a progression in his discography,
creating five excellent tracks of beautiful soundscapes, using layers of
electronics, warm synths, ethereal samples, gorgeous acoustic guitars,
glockenspiel, piano and viola. The finishing touch on the great sound of
Moments EP was applied by the carefully done mastering of George Mastrokostas
(aka Absent Without Leave).
This is a limited edition of 300 handmade and hand-numbered collectible
copies, packaged in a lovely hand-stamped recycled cardboard envelope with the
front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper and an insert
printed on nice fabric paper.
