│ │
│ As far as memory goes, Daniel Siqueira (aka Dan Polash) has always been │
│ involved in music in some way or another. As a kid, grew up playing punk │
│ rock tunes on an old borrowed electric guitar. │
│ After that guitar was returned to his neighbor, all he had left was a │
│ student acoustic gianinni, in which he could no longer play those │
│ deafening power chords (for the sake of all that lived in his house). │
│ That was the starting point for what would later become his most │
│ powerful musical influences, and also his first introduction at │
│ electronic music, with the group 'Prodigy'. Years later, met Eduardo │
│ Barreto, who introduced him to Psytrance music and months later, with │
│ Dans new found love for computer music software, formed the raw │
│ psytrance project 'Digital Nonsense' serving as a background for his │
│ start in the music business. │
│ In 2002 Dan was getting intrigued at how fast music from all over was │
│ evolving and was feeling apart from this evolution. So in the end of │
│ 2002 Digital Nonsense was no more, and a new focus for Dans life was │
│ born, to research music not mattering its labeling. In 2003 the first │
│ results of that search were beginning to grow with his partnership with │
│ Lipe Forbes in the 'Baco and Polash' project. "2003 was a very important │
│ year for me and for my influences, for they reach many colors and │
│ emotions now". │
│ While his musical talents develops, Dan has never stop developing his │
│ technical sides. From the knowledge gained during all these electronic │
│ years, Dan played a major role in the mastering process of Skulptor 'The │
│ Summer is Over' album. As trance has always been a part of his life, Dan │
│ still creates psytrance tunes under the alias of 'Chemical State'. │
│ │
│ Efexor: │
│ │
│ Efexor is based on the fusion between two of the most notorious │
│ producers in brazilian contemporary trance scene, Lipe Forbes and DJ │
│ Seth. This fusion shows the audience a unique sound merged from two │
│ absolute distinct pack of influences and solo styles, a blend of all │
│ kinds of music together in one progressive fullon structure, to make our │
│ minds a bit wiser! Enjoy! │

│ LUX: │
│ │
│ LUX - This project began on 2003. Created by Frederico Botelho (FRITZ). │
│ Since FRITZ was born, he use to get a very close contact with the music, │
│ starting playing guitar in a backyard band, developing his music │
│ knowledge, and then finally, playing in many of the most famous music │
│ events in Brazil. Now a days he is concentrating all his talent, │
│ developing electronic music. │
│ His relationship with music, and digital production, is getting even │
│ stronger, not only with project likes LUX, ORACLE, HYMEN, but producing │
│ commercial electronic music, and non electronic commercials. │
│ He's great goal, is to take the music over the limits, and this is what │
│ he tries to express to the public, with his projects.. │

│ Oracle is the fusion of Skulptor and Lux both very present in brazilian │
│ contemporary trance scene, performing on the most respectfull places. │
│ This fusion bring to the audience a unique sound, a combination of │
│ French glam grooves with the strong bass lines and very hi tech tricks. │
│ The oracle project has born on 2003 and his firt album will come in │
│ september 2004 on the french label Mandala records in partnership whith │
│ high-end. Just have a nice listen on the Oracle and see what it has to │

│ SMS: │
│ │
│ SMS is a project by Thiago Nakashima and Francisco 'Chico' Cardoso from │
│ Sao Paulo, Brazil. Both started to listen trance some years ago, and │
│ after going to many parties, and with some ideas, decided to make some │
│ music. Thiago Naka started his own project called SMS in 2001, and at │
│ end of 2003 his friend 'Chico' joined the team. │
│ The name SMS is a apology of a progressive rock album name: Stop Making │
│ Sense from Talking Heads. │
│ This year Thiago Naka also joined the Turbo Trance Records, and now he's │
│ the new Turbo Trance Manager and Dj in Brazil, with Lipe 'Skulptor' │
│ Forbes. │
│ SMS is also signed as Turbo Trance artist, with some future releases │
│ under this french label. │

│ Beggining in 1996, producing very noisy and experimental music with │
│ tracker software, passing thru breaks, drum'n bass and house, dj Beto │
│ finally got into trance in 1999. The influences are from a wide range, │
│ mostly hard-techno and break beats, always with a dark feeling. │
│ The style if his music is very consistent, and the thick basslines is │
│ always present. │
│ Spectral skunk have released tracks on Wajanga rec., Shiva Space │
│ Technology and ZMA rec., and with his side project "Explorer" on Sphere │
│ rec. │
│ The debut album is going to be released on High-End Records soon. │
│ │
│ Lipe Forbes: │
│ │
│ Lipe Forbes originally from Brazil. he start as a dj very erly in 1996. │
│ By that time he had only 14 years old and he whos alredy playng acid │
│ house and some dance music in the high school friends partyes. │
│ As time went by lipe grow his stille and technic and start to play in │
│ clubs and partyes in Sao Paulo making him a residend dj in a house club │
│ for 2 years. │
│ Finaly in 1999/2000 Lipe starts to mix trance and thanks to his house │
│ back ground today lipe is one os the mosrt technic djs in Brazil. Lipe │
│ try to mix many diferent thinks on his sets, making a deep reseach on │
│ other kinds of eletronic music that can be fit on a trance set, is very │
│ use to see him playng some chemical brothers tracks and why not great │
│ techno names like Green Velvet. │
│ Today lipe main focus is based on music production where he develops │
│ many diferent stiles of eletronic music and in 2004 he releases his │
│ first trance album The Summer Is Over under the project name Skulptor │
│ that had been sold out in the first 2 months. Lipe sets are very │
│ powerfull, technical where he put all his power to the perfect mixes and │
│ hipnotic atmospheres maybe that is why today lipe had performed on the │
│ most reliables events. For now lipe prepares a new compilation for │
│ high-end records the Hi-Fi only with brazilian artists once that he │
│ believes on the power of his country, that for him for sure the killers │
│ trance scene in the world. Have a Blast... │

│ Rodrigo Leal: │
│ │
│ All started as a joke, just a hobby, a therapy to relief stress, a way │
│ to forget the work, school and adolescent's worries. Soon the joke was │
│ over and Leal started playing at parties. In 1997 Leal chose the │
│ profession of DJ over his career in publicity yet his choice was not │
│ easy as little help was on the way. │
│ But everything changed once psytrance appeared as a new emerging force │
│ in the electronic scene in Brazil!! In 1999 Leal had played in several │
│ raves and gathered with his friends to start PSYCHO GARDEN (one of the │
│ best psytrance rave scene of today) The union worked out nice and new │
│ doors began to open. │
│ Today everything has become from a dream into a professional realization │
│ !!! │
│ This realization made Rodrigo Leal be elected the Best Trance DJ given │
│ by Noite Ilustrada 2002- A very important thing for the scene in Brazil │
│ said Erika Palomino. │

│ │
│ Vibra is a side-project of Daniel Costa from Brazil, currently residing │
│ in Sao Paulo, Brazil @ Stralia Studios (www.straliastudios.com ) Vibra is │
│ currently signed to Neurobiotic Records and its debut album │
│ ôCivilizationsö │
│ is out in stores worldwide February, 2003. │
│ Background: │
│ Vibra produces full on psychedelic trance and progressive with some │
│ elements of house. DanielÆs background includes a list of experiences │
│ with different equipments. Previously he was a part of an alternative │
│ rock band as a guitarist and a drummer in the early 90s. Daniel has been │
│ experimenting with electronic synthesizers and mixers since 1995. The │
│ project name ôVibraö was developed in the year 2000 in New York, the │
│ place where he and his brother Ricardo Costa started building Core │
│ Reaktor Studio. By investing on computers, samplers, synthesizers, │
│ mixers, racks and other peripherals, Core Reaktor was the first │
│ professional studio of Stralia Studios. In the year 2003, Stralia │
│ Studios moved to Brazil in Sao Paulo where they produce electronic │
│ trance music and web design on the side. │
