│ Driven by a desire to make use of the old, crummy keyboards that singer Dan │
│ Poole had lying around, he recruited brother Zack Poole and friend Kevin │
│ Cherney to plant the seed that created the APVH. The seed akwardly lingered │
│ until meta-drummer Connor Mayer wrote himself into the equation. │
│ │
│ APVH describe their sound as pop tinged, rock styled, rap touched, dance │
│ minded, and punk sprited. Not to mention it's played with keyboards, live │
│ drums, a spunky sampler, and enough heart to fill a stadium. We try to write so │
│ each song has its own style and indentity. Slow, fast, loud, quiet, crushing, │
│ uplifting. We play to any crowd, pander to every emotion. │
│ │
│ Decorate Your Monster Shirt, was recorded in the Poole family basement with │
│ limited equipment and a $50 budget, yet has a remarkable studio sound and has │
│ been very well received by critics and the public. Printed and self-released by │
│ the APVH, each CD was assembled and hand painted, and along with buzzing │
│ synths, frantic rhythms, and spazzy vocals, it's a raw experience of the simple │
│ yet powerful sound of the APVH. │
