Matt Pryor started The New Amsterdams as a side project to his work with The
Get Up Kids. Acting as a more introspective singer-songwriter outlet than the
loud emo punk of his primary band. When The Get Up Kids broke up in 2005, The
New Amsterdams became his primary focus. It was during this time that the bulk
of Outroduction was recorded. With the releases of this record, Pryor closes
The New Amsterdams chapter of his career.
