| Fabrice Lig was born in 1972 in Charleroi, Belgium, 50 km from |
| Brussels. At 16 he started collecting records, subsequently |
| landing DJ gigs at small parties in the area. Two years later |
| Fabrice began to extend his creativity into the realm of |
| production, and began building his own studio. It was around this |
| time that he spearheaded underground projects such as Interwaves. |
| Since the release of this first EP, Fabrice has produced many |
| other underground projects under a slew of guises (see |
| discography), making something of a name for himself. His remix |
| for e-dancer aka Kevin Saunderson makes him, in the words of Mad |
| Mike (UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE) "a part of Detroit music's history" |
| by being the first white producer to record on the mythical |
| Detroit label KMS, and the first double groove recording from NSC. |
| Fabrice is also the first Belgian artist to have remixed Laurent |
| Garnier (on the single "Greed", other remixes by Dave Clarke and |
| Avril) and one of the few whose releases are sold all around the |
| world. Under the Soul Designer moniker, he became the first F COM |
| artist from Belgium. His first album ôWalking On a Little Cloudö |
| was acclaimed by the international press from Europe, UK to USA, |
| and he is now considered as one of the finest Deep & Melodic |
| techno producers. Fabrice Lig's numerous dancefloor-oriented & |
| Detroit influenced has been released on KMS, Daniel Bell's 7TH |
| CITY, RAYGUN, PLAYHOUSE, KANZLERAMT, DEEP4LIFE, RESIDUAL, MUSIC |
| MAN, Records and many other US, German, UK and Belgian labels. |
| During 2002, to support the album release, Fabrice played some of |
| the best music festivals and clubs, such as: Official Jazz |
| Montreux festival- Miles Davis Hall (Switzerland), Sonar Festival |
| (Spain), Ten days off Festival (Belgium), Meg festival |
| (Montreal-Canada), Fabric (London), The End (London), Rex club |
| (Paris), Tresor (Berlin), No UfoÆs (Berlin), Loft club (Lausanne & |
| Barcelona), CCA (Glasgow), Temple bar (Dublin), Think Tank |
| (Leeds)à This huge tour also gave him the chance to play Live at |
| Printemps de Bourges Festival Versus Jean-Michel Jarre û one of |
| the early electronic musicÆs legends. He has also had to leave his |
| full time history & geographic teacherÆs job to concentrate his |
| activities exclusively on music production & Live and DJ touring. |
| As an ultimate affiliation to the Detroit scene, Fabrice recently |
| stood in for Carl Craig at the Nordik Impact Festival (France), |
| thanks to the fact that Craig himself selected two of FabriceÆs |
| tracks for his Mix cd ôThe Workoutö on React. Fabrice appears on |
| some of the worldÆs best DJ/producersÆ compilations, such as Sven |
| Vath mix, Heiko Laux mix, Tom Middleton mix, Carl Craig mix, |
