Slow-slamming boogie freakiness from Hyetal and Julio Bashmore dressed as
Velour. It's their first outing in this guise since that Night Slugs 12" in
2010, and as you're probably well aware, both have gone on to greater things in
the meantime. Up top, it's a keys-in-the-pot job for 'Speedway', jabbing those
Linn snares on the downstroke and vamping the bass with the hip thrusts of a
banker on company-grade cialis. Hawt stuffing. B-side 'Dial' is cooler, less
explicit, tucking jeep-ready 808 bass below the fruitiest polychrome synth
licks. Bound to be big. Saturday night at The Bongo, let's go!
