     It starts in Detroit with a Vision...

     Mike Grant assembled Moods an Grooves Records in the spring of 1999.
     Its agenda included presenting distinctive music for listening and
     dancing pleasure. Moods for the soul: sophistication, deepness and
     emotional expression. Grooves for the body: rhythms that massage the
     body into movement with force and subtlety.

     Since that time, Moods and Grooves has been commited to continuing
     Detroit's musical legacy while forging new links with producers and
     listeners around the globe.

     And so it ends with you, the listener. Whether you are in Anchorage
     or Zimbabwe, we will we find you...


     Praise him with the sound of the trumpet:
     praise him with the psaltery and harp.
     Praise him with the timbrel and dance:
     praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
     Praise him with upon the loud cymbals:
     praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

     Reflecting back, people first thought Moods and Grooves was only a
     deep house label. Well, it is that, and some. Simply put, it's
     underground. I wanted the label to reflect my diverse musical tastes.
     As the name suggests, sometimes the material is moody and other times
     it's groovy. Either way, I hope we can offer something you'll enjoy
     on the dancefloor or comfort of your sofa.

     Thank you to our lord and savior Jesus Christ for giving me the
     strength, wisdom, and courage to pursue my dream. Thanks also to: my
     family and friends for your support and standing by me, the artists
     for allowing me to present a part of you to the music community,
     those who have helped me get started and maintain things; may God
     bless your endeavors as you have mine, the people behind the scenes
     who make it all happen while going unrecognized, those who purchase
