dⁿsseldorf is the city of electronic music in germany. for the
phoneheads, d&b is a variation. their roots lie in jazz as well as
the electronic music, from bands such as kraftwerk and der plan,
that has defined their city up to the present day. michael
scheibenreiter, who grew up with kraftwerk and plan, studied art
and used to be a racing-pilot.philipp maiburg is the host of the
wednesday breaks club @ unique, one of the top d&b places in
germany. watch out for michaels side-project "swimingpool" on
combination records, a new label which is by managed by philipp.
