│║ After a disappointing intro entitled, just as ║ │
│║ the album, 'Inception', Nightfear goes crazy ║ │
│║ with the real opener 'A New Beginning'. This new ║ │
│║ Spanish band makes an excellent mixture of heavy ║ │
│║ and power metal with a bit of thrash metal. This ║ │
│║ good mixture will please a lot of you guys as ║ │
│║ well as it did please me. There are of course a ║ │
│║ lot of heavy and power metal bands which lack ║ │
│║ any originality. Sometimes is not a real big ║ │
│║ easy, but most of the time it sadly is. From ║ │
│║ Nightfear you would not expect them to be very ║ │
│║ original, as they started out as a cover band. ║ │
│║ Back then, the band played hard rock and heavy ║ │
│║ metal classics en were inspired by bands as Iron ║ │
│║ Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween and Gamma Ray. ║ │
│║ These influences from hard rock as well as the ║ │
│║ heavy and power metal we hear on the album, with ║ │
│║ some thrash added, make that Nightfear have an ║ │
│║ own sound by giving a spin to these old genres. ║ │
│║ The result as you can hear on 'Inception' ║ │
│║ therefore is full of energy. Just listen to the ║ │
│║ fast 'Gates Of Fire', the maybe even faster ║ │
│║ 'Pride' or the powerful 'Storm Watcher'. If you ║ │
│║ know that Nightfears drummer is also in Avulsed ║ │
│║ last year, you might get a hint of were these ║ │
│║ high speeds come from. But also the riffs, the ║ │
│║ bass and the vocals fit in perfectly. All this ║ │
│║ make 'Inception' a really recommended record. ║ │
│║ And we are all in luck, because the album can be ║ │
│║ downloaded free of charge from the bands ║ │
│║ website. So there is not any excuse for not ║ │
│║ listening to this record. ║ │

│║ Mas heavy metal desde Madrid. NIGHTFEAR nos ║ │
│║ presentan su debut, titulado æInceptionÆ, en el ║ │
│║ que dejan claro su gusto por el lado mas clasico ║ │
│║ del genero, tanto musicalmente, como, sobre ║ │
│║ todo, vocalmente. Lorenzo Mutiozabal se ║ │
│║ convierte en el narrador de un disco que, aunque ║ │
│║ pudiera parecerlo de primeras (con sus titulos y ║ │
│║ la portada), no se trata de un trabajo ║ │
│║ conceptual. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ El propio tema que da titulo al album es la ║ │
│║ intro (rozando lo cinematografico) que lo da ║ │
│║ comienzo a la explosion de æA New BeginningÆ, ║ │
│║ velocidad en estado puro y un mensaje claro: ║ │
│║ ôRevolution has begunö. La revolucion que marca ║ │
│║ un nuevo comienzo para la banda. Las guitarras ║ │
│║ cobran protagonismo, con solos mas que buenos en ║ │
│║ su segundo tramo. Saben dosificar esa rapidez, ║ │
│║ poniendo intercalando entre ella y una frenetica ║ │
│║ æImmortalÆ un tema machacon como æStorm WatcherÆ ║ │
│║ para no caer tan pronto en la monotonia. Esa ║ │
│║ alternancia es la que va dando vida al disco, ║ │
│║ encontrando su mejor momento tanto en æGates of ║ │
│║ FireÆ, total deudora de DIO, como en ║ │
│║ æNightmareÆ, la composicion mas completa de ║ │
│║ todas. Para encarar el tramo final deciden ║ │
│║ apostar de nuevo por la velocidad, y æPrideÆ ║ │
│║ sorprende de nuevo arremetiendo como punto ║ │
│║ finalà ?o no? ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Pues no, ya que aun quedan dos pequenas ║ │
│║ pildoras. A modo extra/bonus para completar el ║ │
│║ trabajo, la banda decidio incluir dos temas de ║ │
│║ su pasado (y que ya han dicho que no tocan en ║ │
│║ directo). æThe Best NightÆ tiene un toque ║ │
│║ fiestero y macarra a lo GUNS NÆ ROSES en sus ║ │
│║ comienzos, mientras que æNeverending LieÆ ║ │
│║ recuerda a la epoca ochentera de Ozzy. Un buen ║ │
│║ remate a modo de rareza mostrando de donde viene ║ │
│║ el grupo. Y es que, si hay una cosa clara (tanto ║ │
│║ en la musica como en cualquier ambito), es que ║ │
│║ no hay que renegar de tus raices. Transformarlas ║ │
│║ si, pero nunca olvidar tu pasado. ║ │
