            While its debut might be on Max Ernst, youÆd be wrong
            to assume that Post Industrial BoysÆ music sounds 
            anything like label head Thomas BrinkmannÆs. In fact, 
            the groupÆs lounge-lite electronic pop is pretty much
            BrinkmannÆs polar opposite. The title songÆs lyric 
            preaches that post industrial boys "play with coloured
            toys, and make an awful noise!" but thereÆs little 
            thatÆs awful or off-putting about its breezily 
            accessible songs. The groupÆs the brainchild of one 
            George Dzodzashvili (Gogi Ge) who wrote the music but
            shares vocal duties with a small number of friends,
            all members of Goslab, an artistic group from Tbilisi,
            Georgia. While Gogi solos on the title track and duets
            with Nina Chubinishvili on the new age bossa nova 
            "Cops And Their Wives," vocals are handled elsewhere
            by others. Maya SumbadzeÆs foreign tongue graces the
            sweetly soaring "Lula" while Nino PalavandishviliÆs 
            vocal turns somber on the dark lounge of "Kampolina."
            Tusia Beridze sings on three songs, the strongest
            "Me Gamoval" effervescent pop that sparkles with both
            acoustic and electronic flavourings. "Eyelids" might
            be the strongest of the lot, with Nina ChubinishviliÆs 
            dreamy vocals underlaid by a swinging groove and 
            snaking bass lines.
            
            The recording is stylistically diverse, in spite of an
            overall uniformity of sound, with elements drawn from 
            various styles including pop, jazz, dub, and drumÆnÆbass.
            The latter, for example, adds an unusual complement to 
            Irakli KakabadzeÆs Naked Lunch recitation on "In The 
            Kitchen." The languorous "Damshviddi" is another good
            example of the groupÆs electronic pop style which in 
            this case recalls Guther. More pointedly, Post Industrial
            Boys most invites comparison to the recent Plug Research 
            release Suburban Shore by Camping. In that case, an 
            unusual juxtaposition of German singing and electronic 
            bossa nova rhythms proved to be a surprisingly successful
            combination, and the same applies to Post Industrial BoysÆ
            exotic Tbilisi brand of electronic lounge-pop.
