friends call him yo! - albanekÆs first strike walk away is still
in several dj-playlists and charts around the globe while his next
record is ready to take of. his well spun groove passages are the
basis for soulful songs featuring outstanding new vocalists like
the caribbean singer "violetta" or arizona born extra talent
"pollard".
the mix of those quite different voices shows how rich albanekÆs
songs are and give the album a special suspense. the somehow
porous and dry sound in violettaÆs interpretation and the bright
soulful light when pollard sings. his fresh and soulful voice was
newly brought to the viennese scene by coincidence when albanek
and his friend alan brown discovered that alanÆs flat mate was
actually a singer. and boy, what a singer! together with pollard
albanek did not only write and produce the two tunes from his new
12" moving on, but also two more tracks which are definitely
highlights of the debut album. but also his instrumentals like the
warm electro-ballad p.a.l.m.e.r.s have a certain spell-binding
atmosphere that can easily pull the listener deep into albanekÆs
very own world that one may find all in a shade of blue.
