sir drew came to the kingsize label in 1999 but is certainly no
stranger to the music business. he previously recorded for
athletico under the sir drew moniker taking his only single for
them let's get some girls to number 2 in the then big beat chart
and earning himself a full page feature in nme alongside rapturous
response from the press. prior to that he made up one half of the
early nineties rave/dance act bizarre inc who saw their 3 biggest
singles such a feeling, playing with knives & i'm gonna get ya
smash into the top 10 of the national charts, and landed them on
top of the pops and countless kids tv shows. he also is partnered
with dean meredith making music as chicken lips. sir drew is
based in stafford where he works from his own studio packed with
vintage synths (his great love). his previous singles for kingsize
have seen radio 1 airplay from john peel, steve lamacq and annie
nightingale and placements in the buzz, and coolcuts charts. his
debut album 'she woman cat type thang' was a phat fusion of
p-funk, breaks and house cuts. the new sounds of sir drew are
captured on his latest album 'feet first', the singles taken from
it have had remixes from the likes of peace division, black strobe
and dark boogie and have had an immense reponse. recently we have
had airplay on the essential selection with the shemale single and
have had calls from the likes of the chemical brothers and tom
middleton about it!
