Dear Reloaded!
We want to reply to your picky, very unique interpretation of today's Metro
Last Light release.
First of all you say that our release could fit a DVD9. In Metro LL, with
your strong setup compression, you made it to save exactly that some MB, to
make it fit a DVD9. Congratulations!
What would have happened otherwise or some months ago, when you used no
compression for the setup? Correct, you would have used the Bluray format.
Since that format was never discussed or included in any rule set, we prefer
to use DVD's if you dont mind. And if we need two, we release two.
Our release has compressed rar files as required. In "Dishonored" or "Cities
in Motion 2" you did not use any compression for your setup, which is no
problem, as there is no rule for that. So what happened today? You now use a
compression, does that mean everyone have to start too?
The "freezing" installer, is what we released the readme for. The message
box can be closed easily and the setup continues.
A wrong command line for a PhysX installation, that can be run manually by
the user as described in our additional install note, should not require a
group to repack their whole release, or would YOU do so?
At last you make it sound, that the Ranger mode and other stuff is part of
the regular game. It is not, it is categorized under DLC content. Going
by your interpretation, every game has to have every available DLC unlocked.
Have a look at your Walking Dead release. Following your arguments, there
should be Walker Herd Survival Pack pre-activated. But it is not. Why?
Motivated by your words, we give everyone a guide on how to modify the
registry for DLC's for a FLT release. If people want to enable the buggy
and often still in "beta" phase extra content, no guarantees how well it
runs, parts can be not even released yet, so its pure "hack hack" to attempt
to activate it prematurely, and its pure luck if it works satisfactory.
Obviously the scene wants, that all content is accessable, that there is no
need to support the software companies if one like the game and would buy
it to get more extras.
