Shogun Audio is very proud to present the brand new sophomore
album from the unstoppable, wholly original, Alix Perez. Having
laid his foundations firmly within drum & bass over the past eight
years it was his debut LP back in 2009 that set a precedent for
his musical ambition as '1984' astounded critics and fans the
world over from the broadsheets to the bloggers. 'Chroma Chords'
marks the new chapter; a multi-genre tour de force, a thoroughbred
electronic musical masterpiece that casts Alix Perez in a league
all of his own.
In the words of Alix Perez...'Essentially, 'Chroma Chords' is a
snapshot of my past, present and future. It encapsulates a sonic
translation of experiences, influences and genuine emotion. Without
straying too far from the work I'm previously known for, it's a
testament to experimentation, development and a display of things
to come. Leaving compromise aside altogether, this album is an
honest reflection of my standpoint as an electronic artist.
'While revisiting preceding ground yet touching on new avenues,
my point with 'Chroma Chords' is to defy preconceptions while
staying true to my sound and identity. Intently indulging and
lending itself to a world of influences it's a platform for new
