│║ W.E.T.Æs self-titled debut album, which was ║ │
│║ released at the end of 2009, is generally ║ │
│║ considered as one of the best melodic rock ║ │
│║ albums of the nillies. No wonder that it ║ │
│║ (easily) peaked in our album poll of that year. ║ │
│║ It was written in the stars that one day there ║ │
│║ would be a sophomore album and it reached us at ║ │
│║ the end of February. The team that created ôRise ║ │
│║ Upö is exactly the same as on the debut album: ║ │
│║ Work Of ArtÆs Robert SΣll (the W in W.E.T.), ║ │
│║ EclipseÆs Erik Mσrtensson (the E in W.E.T.) and ║ │
│║ TalismanÆs Jeff Scott Soto (the T in W.E.T.) ║ │
│║ plus lead guitarist Magnus Henriksson and ║ │
│║ drummer Robban BΣck, both sidekicks from ║ │
│║ Mσrtensson in Eclipse. Preceded by the radio- ║ │
│║ friendly single/video ôLearn To Live Againö û a ║ │
│║ duet between Mσrtensson and Soto û the new album ║ │
│║ is pretty much a continuation of the first one, ║ │
│║ filled with catchy melodic rock songs full of ║ │
│║ hooks and in a crystal-clear production of (once ║ │
│║ again) Mσrtensson. Bringing together class ║ │
│║ musicians does not automatically lead to a ║ │
│║ brilliant album, but in the case of W.E.T., we ║ │
│║ can only conclude that they did it again, with ║ │
│║ 12 brilliant rockers and ballads, this time co- ║ │
│║ written with Soto. I canÆt tell you which tracks ║ │
│║ can be considered as the best as all of them are ║ │
│║ jewels in W.E.T.Æs crown. So, off you go now to ║ │
│║ your nearest record shop or iTunes. A top-notch ║ │
