Astatine is an artist previously featured on bespoke imprint
Cotton Goods** Excellent bit of post-e\Æerything
ambient/indie/noise fuzz from Acetate Zero\Æs StΘphane
Recrosio. An engagingly lo-fi affair of crackling, buckled
textures, shimmering chamber notes and calloused noises
alternate in odd, uncertain formations, sometimes arriving at
lush and lonely scapes reminding of Hood and those stranded
Lancashire types, or at other strongly recalling the faded,
vitamin-c deficient de-compositions of Indignant Senility,
various Kiwi degradations or the nose-to-the-grain tape
rubbings of Wanda Group and Basic House at his most abstract,
spread across twelve fractured and quietly unstable pieces.
