Rumors of the demise of emceeing may get props in some circles...but its obvious
Tableek doesn't move in them. Beyond the manufactured "hits" found on the average
corporate enforced playlist, underground hiphop aficiando Tableek and the group
Maspyke created two certifiably dope Maspyke LP's (The Blackout and Static) that left
a lasting impression in the ears of underground connoisseurs worldwide.
While recording these Lp's Maspyke appeared on numerous 12" singles like 54th
Regiment (Rawkus), Play List (OM) and Step (ABB), were featured on a number of high
profile international releases with songs like "Truth in Position" (Grooveattack -
Germany) or "Tokyo Girls" (Jazzy Sport - Japan), were written about in the pages of
true hiphop connoisseurs publications like XXL (USA), Elemantal (USA), Stress (USA),
URB (USA), Straight No Chaser (UK) and Hiphop Connection (UK).
Maspyke could be heard on the playlists of some of the most respected international
DJs in the world like Bobbito Garcia (NYC), Benji B (UK), Dj Revolution (USA), Gilles
Peterson (UK) and countless others.
He has been fortunate to have recorded songs with Sadat X, Dead Prez, Dudley Perkins
and Zumbi from Zion I as well as performed or toured alongside Sadat X, Percee P, KRS
ONE and Count Bass D to name a few.
