██▌ Marc Domenech Victoriα Saura of Zerboni diSposetti is a native ▐██
██▌ Spaniard who 16 years ago chose Berlin to be his home. In 1996, ▐██
██▌ he founded MONDO FUMATORE, a band which definetely belongs to the ▐██
██▌ small group of exceptional ▐██
██▌ musicians working in Germany. Their last album (self-titled and ▐██
██▌ issued on Rewika in 2003) saw them at a height of their creative ▐██
██▌ powers. While the roots of their songs always lay in a ▐██
██▌ combination of sixties-sounds, the angry melancholy of early ▐██
██▌ indie rock and absurd sampling, that album saw ▐██
██▌ them embracing sparse electronica and simple danceable beats of ▐██
██▌ the fat kind. This expansion spawned a rock bastard who was just ▐██
██▌ too happy breaking up conventional genre notions. In fact, that ▐██
██▌ record was so good that we have to admit we would have like to ▐██
██▌ have issued it ourselves. But this is not the only reason we ▐██
██▌ mention the 'mothership', because the present album continues ▐██
██▌ where 'Mondo Fumatore' left off. And last not least because it ▐██
██▌ signifies a logical and uncompromising development so unique that ▐██
██▌ we found it necessary to hint at its source. ▐██
██▌ ▐██
██▌ On his debut as a solo artist, mondomarc has widened his ▐██
██▌ stylistic horizon considerably and produced an album that sounds ▐██
██▌ like one of those mixtapes you give a friend for his/her ▐██
██▌ birthday. 100% party-compatible electro-killer-tunes, ▐██
██▌ experimental sound-play, straight songs, sprawling electronic ▐██
██▌ follies and determined HipHop result in an out and out homogenous ▐██
██▌ style-clash, or - to put in a nutshell: a modern pop album. ▐██
