     Having grown up under the wing of classic 1990's deep house music, slow to
     speak's Paul Nickerson and Francis Englehardt created the CORE reissue
     series to highlight what they felt were some of the most striking examples
     of underground club music at its finest. Initially a reissue series of
     limited 12"s, the committed classic house devotees have put together here a
     comprehensive selection reflecting the peak of the US house music
     Enlightenment in their second CD compilation of unmixed CORE staples. From
     the dark and alluring track excursions of New York City's most debauched
     dancefloors to the ethereal and sophisticated forays into soul and jazz
     music's intricate instrumental arrangements; from the Garage's full-force
     vocal house inheritors to refreshing and unstoppably catchy exercises in
     90's R&B/House music hybridism, "CORE" offers a balanced and complete
     palate of brilliant, eternal deep house landmarks from club culture's glory
     years. Featuring obscure and overlooked masterpieces from Nathaniel X,
     Cherie Lee, Mental Instrum and more, "CORE" has been curated and lovingly
     presented in the hopes that the disconnect between past accomplishments and
     present fascinations can be bridged, with the sincere hope that these
     unique examples of that special and unrepeatable era will drive a new
