elemental in the helsinki nightlife as a dj / production team,
promoters and the "top management" of nine2five recordings, the
executives share a passion for all good music and all good
parties. with three different musical backgrounds ranging from hip
hop, funk and soul to house, techno and drum&bass the executives
style is all about quality club music with no artificial barriers.
with past activities ranging from establishing the pioneering
ôsiestaö (sunday afternoon chill-out) and straight up breakbeat
(drum & bass) nights in the 90Æs, to their awarded radio shows on
the nationwide ylex and own events with guests roni size, gilles
peterson, howie b, london elektricity et al, theyÆve recently kept
busy by spreading the nine2five sound in cities like paris (the
rex, batofar), london (perverted science @333, hospitality
@herbal, beach @nhac etc.), amsterdam, stockholm and cannes. a1.
"weapons of mass expansion" catchy synth melodies, genuine 80's
drum sounds and a proper wobbler as a bassline, this one is
steadily building up to a heavyweight slow-house anthem. put it on
and watch the floor! b1. "another night" detroit inspired broken
beat! techno synths meet obscure beats inna west helsinki style,
this combination is yet to be heard. spooky organ samples, twisted
beats and a great vocal hook (by a great pair of tits!). b2.
"rolodex love" a perfect recipe to those ôall back to mineö
chillout sessions. glass: highball ingredients: hiphop beats, soul
