│║ Dark Moor has, for whatever reasons that affect ║ │
│║ a bandÆs demographics, flown under the radars of ║ │
│║ the power metal scanning systems for years. ║ │
│║ Their efforts, often compared to the likes of ║ │
│║ Rhapsody of Fire and Blind Guardian, are mostly ║ │
│║ fresh, riveting pieces of fantastic power metal ║ │
│║ ùthe kind of stuff that imprisons your mind and ║ │
│║ soul whenever theyÆre given the chance to do so. ║ │
│║ IÆm not going to make any rash comparisons ║ │
│║ between ôArs Musicaö and Dark MoorÆs other ║ │
│║ albums as IÆm not horribly familiar with the ║ │
│║ bulk of them, but I will say ôArs Musicaö is ║ │
│║ overall outstanding. Dark MoorÆs efforts are as ║ │
│║ elegant as they are magnetic; gushing with songs ║ │
│║ that are confident, daring, catchy, and ║ │
│║ pristine, yet showing a degree of boldness that ║ │
│║ doesnÆt transcend into ridiculousness or ║ │
│║ something gimmicky. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ With the flag of their Spanish heritage flying ║ │
│║ highùthey have a song here entitled ôThe First ║ │
│║ Lance of Spainö for crying out loudùDark Moor ║ │
│║ produces a hefty feast of grandiose power metal ║ │
│║ baptized in minor symphonic/orchestral ║ │
│║ influences and instruments. The songs arenÆt ║ │
│║ radically different from one another, yet ║ │
│║ thereÆs a lot going on in each tune to give each ║ │
│║ one its own unique tint. The first number, ôThe ║ │
│║ First Lance of Spain,ö doesnÆt differ too ║ │
│║ radically from other tracks like ôThe City of ║ │
│║ Peace,ö but the melodies and flares are often ║ │
│║ calculated and manufactured differently. That ║ │
│║ said, the aforementioned songs are two examples ║ │
│║ of the sheer excellence here. The riffs and ║ │
│║ solos are dramatic and demanding, and Alfred ║ │
│║ Romero, Dark MoorÆs vocalist, proves he is one ║ │
│║ of the unsung heroes of power metal with one of ║ │
│║ its most amazingly graceful and versatile ║ │
│║ voices. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ ItÆs not like Dark Moor used some magic orb ║ │
│║ which blesses its user with awesome musical ║ │
│║ abilities to make ôArs Musicaö so good; theyÆre ║ │
│║ just fantastic at writing cohesive, addicting ║ │
│║ anthems that have a lot of color yet not ║ │
│║ overloading with it. In fact, some of the more ║ │
│║ serious numbers, especially ôTogether as Ever,ö ║ │
│║ are the albumÆs prime cuts. However, that is not ║ │
│║ to imply more chaotic songs like ôLiving in a ║ │
│║ Nightmareö deserve participation ribbonsùDark ║ │
│║ Moor has the game mastered no matter what they ║ │
│║ do. Female vocals are used semi-frequently ║ │
│║ behind RomeroÆs bellowing, and the orchestral ║ │
│║ elements are never underplayed or overcooked. ║ │
│║ The bass has an enormous presence here as well, ║ │
│║ and there are several songs in which Mario ║ │
│║ Garcia hammers out an organized bass lead and ║ │
│║ takes complete control of the whole portrait. Me ║ │

│║ However, ôSpanish Suite (Asturias),ö one of ║ │
│║ those neoclassical instrumental bits, runs a ║ │
│║ little too long and has pacing issues that throw ║ │
│║ it off a bitùnot a horrible song, but it is far ║ │
│║ from the lush territory of its cohorts. ôArs ║ │
│║ Musicaö is otherwise a stupendous experience of ║ │
│║ enchantment and supremacy by one of power ║ │
│║ metalÆs strongest titans. This, ladies and ║ │
│║ gentlemen, is an album from a band that knows ║ │
│║ what itÆs doing, and youÆll be enthralled by ║ │
│║ Dark MoorÆs magic minutes after the power of ║ │
│║ ôArs Musicaö has created an ethereal portal to ║ │
│║ an enticing world where first-rate power metal ║ │

│║ En Agosto del 2000 la banda graba su ║ │
│║ confirmaci≤n internacional "The Hall Of The ║ │

│║ En Noviembre de 2001, Dark Moor graba su tercer ║ │
│║ larga duraci≤n "The Gates Of Oblivion" ║ │
│║ que es editado en nuevos paφses como USA y ║ │
│║ Canada, consiguiendo un contrato con JVC Victor ║ │
│║ para la distribuci≤n del cd en el mercado ║ │
│║ asißtico. ║ │

│║ El consiguiente tour permite a la banda hacerse ║ │
│║ un hueco en festivales como el Rock Machina, ║ │
│║ Vi±a Rock, Nit de Reis, o Metal Christmas. ║ │

│║ En Agosto de 2002, Dark Moor vuelve de nuevo al ║ │
│║ estudio en Madrid para grabar 4 canciones ║ │
│║ ac·sticas que son incluidas en el Ep "Between ║ │
│║ Light And Darkness". ║ │

│║ DespuΘs de este Ep un cambio ocurre, que serß ║ │
│║ fundamental para el nuevo sonido de Dark Moor ║ │
│║ y para su definitivo renombre internacional .La ║ │
│║ entrada de Alfred Romero como nuevo cantante, ║ │
│║ Alfred da su personalidad y voz ·nica, y todo ║ │
│║ el grupo viaja una vez mßs a Italia para grabar ║ │

│║ La banda continua de tour por Espa±a para dar a ║ │
│║ conocer su nuevo ßlbum y para esta gira un nuevo ║ │
│║ video-clip nace "Wheel Of Fortune" mezclando ║ │
│║ sonido de directo con el estudio. ║ │

│║ Gracias al gran impacto causado por "Tarot" la ║ │
│║ banda viaja a SudamΘrica por vez primera ║ │

│║ un poderoso tema tributo al famoso personaje ║ │
│║ encarnado por el actor Paul Naschy, ║ │
│║ legendario actor de peliculas de terror, ║ │
│║ conocido mundialmente y recientemente fallecido, ║ │
│║ o " La Canci≤n Del Pirata", primer tema cantado ║ │
│║ totalmente en castellano, por ultimo destacar ║ │
│║ el bello tema " Love From Stone" single del ║ │
│║ nuevo ßlbum y del cual se ha rodado un ║ │
│║ video-clip terminado recientemente. El nuevo ║ │
│║ disco significa un nuevo paso en la carrera ║ │
