ernesto's is soulful singer and music maker jonatan backelie from
gothenburg. he's one of the swell session/stateless singers and a
part of the gonkyburg movement, a collective of various people in
gothenburg, that has got jazz, soul and electronic sounds at the
top of their agenda. musically ernesto's can be described as a
lovely blend of vocal based soul, bossa nova, broken beats, jazz
and latin dipped funkiness. as a wonderfully talented singer he's
been involved in projects with artists such as: beanfield,
stateless, swell session, albanek, plej, quant, season, gonky
business & arvid. on this, his first full-length album, entitled "album", he
has worked together with a handful of gonkyburgians such as swell
session/stateless, jol and quant. the result is a broken soul
business that will raise quite a few eyebrows.
