│ Opening like a Victorian fairground attraction, 'Man With The Movie │
│ Camera' is a typically evocative piece of cinematic, contemporary │
│ metropolitan jazz. │
│ │
│ Rising from a dishevelled drunken woodwind stumble, underpinned by │
│ bassoon and highlighted by clarinet, it develops through samba drum │
│ explosions to hip hop inspired jazz breaks and live broken beats. │
│ │
│ Throughout there's a dark intensity that hangs over it like a gothic │
│ drama, although rhythmically it threatens joyful outbursts as the track │
│ twists through nine minutes of mood change. │
│ │
│ The ever-creative Domu, aka Dominic Stanton, supplies a magical b-line │
│ driven broken beat remix that cements this release as a must have, even │
│ before you get to the DVD movie. │
│ │
│ It's an adventurous single, and not one designed for radio play, but │
│ with The Cinematic Orchestra you expect nothing less. │
