Transparenz, the first solo album from Max Loderbauer, has just been
released via Tobias Freund's Non Standard Productions.
With credits ranging from the Moritz Von Oswald Trio to the ambient
group Sun Electric and his NSI collaboration with Freund (with whom
he shares a studio), Loderbauer isn't new on the scene. Up until now,
though, he's always appeared alongside other producers. It's not
surprising, then, that the label describes the album as especially
personal, with Loderbauer bringing the sound of many of his other
projects into one cohesive work. Transparenz was improvised entirely
on hardware - his Buchla and Eurorack modular synths figure
prominently - without the aid of a computer or multitrack recorder.
