Following from two gorgeously delicate installments, the Boats' Andrew
Hargreaves finishes a cycle of 3 x 3" CDs with 'Output' on his own self titled
imprint. Much like those releases, this disc contains four tracks of feathery
dub-techno chords and fragile beats, constructed like charmingly nerdy
matchstick approximations of the structures of Basic Channel or Porter Ricks.
While the tracks never quite reach the full bodied dynamic of current operators
like Quantec or Sven Weisemann, they do contain an attention to detail and
appreciation of finely crafted melodies that's simply exquisite, making for a
deeply rewarding listen. Limited copies only!
