▐████▌ ▄▄▓▓█▓▌ Killing Joke had its origins in the ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀█▄▄▄███▀
▀████▄▄▄▄███████▀ Matt Stagger band, but by 1978 key ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▀▀███▀▄█████▀ members had defected to create something ▀█████▄
▄█████▀ ▀▄▄ unique. The band was formed in Notting ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄
▐█████ ▐█▓ Hill and consisted of Jaz Coleman, ▓█▌ █████▌
█████▌ ███▌ Geordie, Youth and Paul Ferguson. ▐███ ▐█████
▀█████▄ ▓██▓ ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ Their debut EP was picked up by ▀█████████
▀▀██▄ legendary Radio 1 DJ John Peel who helped ▄██▀▀███ ▀ ▄
▄▄▄▄▄ ▐██▓ start their career with a session on his ▓██▌ ████▄ ▄█▌
▀ ▀▀███▄ ▄▓▓█▓▌ show which became an all-time ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀███████▀
▐███▌▄█████▀ favourite. ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▄ ▄███▄█████▀ ▀█████▄
▀▀███▀██████▀ ▀▄▄ Killing Joke soon established themselves ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄
▐█████ ▐█▓ as post-punk heroes with a taste for ▓█▌ █████▌
█████▌ ███▌ rhythmic fury, bleak lyrics, ▐███ ▐█████
▀█████▄ ▓██▓ inflammatory imagery and borderline ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ psychotic stage antics. Their black ▀███████▀▓▄▄▄
▄▄▄ ▀▀██▄ humour was matched by their political ▄██▀▀■ ▀████▄
▄████▀▀▀▄ ▐██▓ pretensions. ▓██▌ ▐▌ ▐████
▐████▌ ▄▄▓▓█▓▌ ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀█▄▄▄███▀
▀████▄▄▄▄███████▀ Over more than ten albums, they marked ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▀▀███▀▄█████▀ themselves out as the Forefathers of ▀█████▄
▄█████▀ ▀▄▄ Industrial, creating a sound that is as ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄
▐█████ ▐█▓ influential today as it was 20 year ▓█▌ █████▌

▀▀███████▀ The new album, For Beginners, released ▀█████████

▀ ▀▀███▄ ▄▓▓█▓▌ from Killing Joke 1981 to Outside the ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀███████▀
▐███▌▄█████▀ Gate. ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▄ ▄███▄█████▀ ▀█████▄
▀▀███▀██████▀ ▀▄▄ It serves as the perfect introduction to ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄
▐█████ ▐█▓ a unique and much-loved/reviled band ▓█▌ █████▌
█████▌ ███▌ and provides long-term fans with ▐███ ▐█████
