|  Remixes is what you'd expect - a smattering of already well-produced      |
|  Emancipator songs reimagined by some of the greatest minds in the         |
|  electronic music realm of the moment, including one track "Black Lake"    |
|  remixed by himself.  I won't go into too much detail on the individual    |
|  artists featured on the album, but needless to say, I was floored by      |
|  even the songs by artists I had never heard of.  If you've ever been a    |
|  fan of any of the other musicians releases, you'll immediately recognize  |
|  their unique styles superimposed over Doug's trademark organic beats and  |
|  swirling melodies.  This is the Emancipator we know and love, still       |
|  unhindered from the much deserved popularity he's gained over the past    |
|  couple years. The length of the album is rock solid, clocking in at a     |
|  little over an hour spread lovingly over 14 tracks.  Given the multitude  |
|  of artists on the album, the styles can feel a bit splintered at times,   |
|  lacking a cohesive overarching direction.  Overall, however, the          |
|  approach is extremely effective, leaving the album to be enjoyed as both  |
|  a whole and track by track.  I've found myself skipping about the album   |
|  freely, just as often as I stick through from beginning to end.           |
