The first EP from Barcelona's Pareto Park label opens
with 4 uncompromising and heavy hitting cuts of modern
techno with early support from the likes of Dave Clarke
and The Black Dog. Steering away from the after party
techno trend with a dark, modern, analogue sound fit for
the peak time. Including the off-kilter Cambridge
Offensive - a futuristic and ominous techno cut that
swaps out 4/4 kicks in favour of a deadly broken rhythm,
driven by a sharp evolving analogue synth pattern.
Ridley Road goes for the jugular with another nod to
Lanham's UK roots - a detuned lead sequence reminiscent
of the Birmingham glory days soars over a modern techno
beat with menacing building drones pushing the track to
it's peak. The release is backed by two strong remixes;
the UK's Dead Sound (Perc Trax) works his signature
sound in a broken industrial version of Cambridge
Offensive, and Minimum Syndicat turn their hands to
Ridley Road converting it into an infectious and
sinister, rolling techno track from the Parisian
warehouse-party throwers
