│║ Indicco is a Spanish melodic rock band founded ║ │
│║ by Indigo Balboa (v, k) and Paco Cerezo (g, k, ║ │
│║ bv) in 2008. I donÆt know if these names ring a ║ │
│║ bell, but the former has worked on Mark SpiroÆs ║ │
│║ second solo album, while the latter was the co- ║ │
│║ founder and guitarist of 91 Suite, one of ║ │
│║ SpainÆs best AOR bands. Inspired by bands like ║ │
│║ Bad English, Giant, Survivor and Toto, both ║ │
│║ gentlemen worked no less than three years on ║ │
│║ whatÆs now known as IndiccoÆs debut album ║ │
│║ ôKarmalionö. To make the necessary impact, the ║ │
│║ pair invited some well-respected musicians. ║ │
│║ Sharing lead vocals with Balboa on three tracks ║ │
│║ is no one else than Jimi Jamison. Another big ║ │
│║ name is the above-mentioned Mark Spiro. He co- ║ │
│║ wrote and recorded vocals for another three ║ │
│║ songs, played some piano and keyboards and took ║ │
│║ care of certain parts of the production. And if ║ │
│║ that was not yet enough to attract attention, ║ │
│║ they also invited one of the most demanded ║ │
│║ session players, Tim Pierce. He can be heard on ║ │
│║ two tracks. The band Indicco is completed by two ║ │
│║ other ex-91 Suite band members (Antonio Mu±oz on ║ │
│║ bass & Lean Martinez on drums) and keyboarder ║ │
│║ Angel Valdegrama. For a debut album in the ║ │
│║ AOR/melodic rock genre, ôKarmalionö is certainly ║ │
│║ more than OK. Especially the tracks where Jimi ║ │
│║ Jamison and Mark Spiro join in, are of most ║ │
│║ interest. Right now on my playing list are songs ║ │
│║ like ôAll About Youö, ôFeel So Goodö and ║ │
│║ ôLeaving Youö. ║ │
