    ██▌▄▀█     Kommando 6 is not tied to a special style, but our        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     circle (a loose connection of independent producers)      ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     shares a preference for the darker site of electronic     ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     music. / Our quarter is situated in Augsburg (a town      ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     with 275.000 people, in between the conservative          ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     Bavaria, South-Germany), which is a cultural desert       ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     for people who live and feel beyond the mass culture.     ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     Since ever it's very hard, to find space and rooms        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     for subcultural activities here. Nevertheless (or:        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     just for that very reason) here were always small,        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     but very lively underground circles. / Our circle         ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     came together mid of the 90's and got steadily            ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     engaged in activities around electronic music since       ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     then. From 1996-2000 we were quite involved in the        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     "Elektrik Nacht" party-series, which took place once      ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     a month (mainly with local DJ's, VJ's & live acts).       ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     These parties became the crowded meeting-point for        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     electronic music freaks from the whole area, but in       ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     2000 there was decided to quit the series for             ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     different reasons... Very soon came up the need to        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     start something new and so Kommando 6 was founded in      ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     fall 2000. The original idea was, to organize regular     ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     parties with a selected international line-up. The        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     first K6-Party happened three months later (feat.         ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     Bunker Records from Holland, January 2001). Soon on       ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     that, there was decided to run also a record label        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     named Kommando 6. This label should mainly feature        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     underground producers from the area Augsburg. The         ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     first vinyl-release of Kommando 6 (K6-I, V.A. "Dark       ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     Rooms", March 2002) introduced some local producers       ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     then, whose tracks had deserved to come out of the        ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     hidden production-rooms. After that first                 ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     compilation, some of these producers took the chance      ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     to release more of their stuff on EP's or LP's. From      ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     2003 on, the label also opened up for producers from      ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     beyond Augsburg & Germany (Holland, France, Sweden,       ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     USA...more international stuff in 2004)./ Due to the      ░██▌▄▀
    ██▌▄▀█     (financial) concentration on the label work we gave       ░██▌▄▀
