▀█████▄ ▓██▓ know? Of course, with great power comes ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ great responsibility and Wyclef has been ▀█████████
▀▀██▄ giving back, specifically to his native ▄██▀▀███ ▀ ▄
▄▄▄▄▄ ▐██▓ land of Haiti. With his new album ▓██▌ ████▄ ▄█▌
▀ ▀▀███▄ ▄▓▓█▓▌ Welcome To Haiti: Creole 101 on the ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀███████▀
▐███▌▄█████▀ way, Wyclef has announced plans to ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▄ ▄███▄█████▀ become the unofficial Haitian ambassador. ▀█████▄
▀▀███▀██████▀ ▀▄▄ ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄
▐█████ ▐█▓ Wyclef was born and raised in Haiti ▓█▌ █████▌
█████▌ ███▌ until the age of 9, when he immigrated ▐███ ▐█████
▀█████▄ ▓██▓ to the Brooklyn projects in New York. ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ Well aware of the general perception ▀███████▀▓▄▄▄
▄▄▄ ▀▀██▄ that many people have of his homeland, ▄██▀▀■ ▀████▄
▄████▀▀▀▄ ▐██▓ Jean is desperate to not only create ▓██▌ ▐▌ ▐████
▐████▌ ▄▄▓▓█▓▌ inner-peace in the unstable Caribbean ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀█▄▄▄███▀
▀████▄▄▄▄███████▀ country, but a cleaned up image for ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▀▀███▀▄█████▀ potential businesses and tourists as well. ▀█████▄
▄█████▀ ▀▄▄ ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄
▐█████ ▐█▓ One such step Wyclef plans on taking ▓█▌ █████▌
█████▌ ███▌ will be his newly planned December 5 ▐███ ▐█████
▀█████▄ ▓██▓ benefit concert to promote peace in ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ Haiti. According to the Associated ▀█████████
▀▀██▄ Press, while not going into specific ▄██▀▀███ ▀ ▄
▄▄▄▄▄ ▐██▓ details, Wyclef claims that proceeds ▓██▌ ████▄ ▄█▌
▀ ▀▀███▄ ▄▓▓█▓▌ from the show will go towards efforts ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀███████▀
▐███▌▄█████▀ to help stabilize the country. ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▄ ▄███▄█████▀ ▀█████▄
▀▀███▀██████▀ ▀▄▄ Wyclef has also actively been planning ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄
▐█████ ▐█▓ other efforts to help stop the ▓█▌ █████▌
█████▌ ███▌ persistent civil strife within Haiti, ▐███ ▐█████
▀█████▄ ▓██▓ such as Red Cross-endorsed food runs, a ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ peace treaty and a tourism program. ▀███████▀▓▄▄▄
▄▄▄ ▀▀██▄ While giving food to those in need is not ▄██▀▀■ ▀████▄
▄████▀▀▀▄ ▐██▓ only commendable, but wholly possible, ▓██▌ ▐▌ ▐████
▐████▌ ▄▄▓▓█▓▌ the other two seem a bit lofty. In a ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀█▄▄▄███▀
▀████▄▄▄▄███████▀ Bono-esque move, Wyclef hopes to go to ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▀▀███▀▄█████▀ Haiti and talk with the various political ▀█████▄
▄█████▀ ▀▄▄ leaders in an effort to convince them to ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄
▐█████ ▐█▓ lay down their arms for the betterment ▓█▌ █████▌
█████▌ ███▌ of the country. As far as tourists and ▐███ ▐█████
▀█████▄ ▓██▓ investors begin to crop up on the ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ beaches, news reports and "fear for ▀█████████
▀▀██▄ life" have continually dissuaded ▄██▀▀███ ▀ ▄
▄▄▄▄▄ ▐██▓ individuals from boarding a Haiti ▓██▌ ████▄ ▄█▌

▀█████▄ ▓██▓ support of his new release, Wyclef ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ still has three final dates on his ▀███████▀▓▄▄▄
▄▄▄ ▀▀██▄ summer jaunt through the U.S. Wyclef ▄██▀▀■ ▀████▄
▄████▀▀▀▄ ▐██▓ hopes that 2 million Haitians would show ▓██▌ ▐▌ ▐████
▐████▌ ▄▄▓▓█▓▌ up for his December5 performance, which ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀█▄▄▄███▀
▀████▄▄▄▄███████▀ would be quite impressive as Haiti is ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
