This is the LIMITED EDITION of "Primate" album which includes a bonus Promo
EP CD, with the original album. In sum up it is a 2CD package, so why we
decide to tag it 2CD in the release's tags.
"Primate" is the fourth album from Zubzub, one of the UK's top live,
psychedelic dance acts which features former members of space-rock legends,
Ozric Tentacles. It is released on Zubzub's own, newly-formed record label,
Monkeyface Records. As with their previous releases, Primate is a real
smorgasboard of dance genres, from thumping beats and manic synths to moments
of blissed out lushness, all with a healthy dose of pure psychedelia. The
band's unique style is brought ever closer to the listener, taking them on a
journey through highly detailed soundscapes, with strong production standards
complimenting the live musicianship on display.
This is their most accessible album to date and has been filling dancefloors
and attracting fans all across the globe. The Zubzub sound incorporates an
epic musical feel, complex programming, deliciously-groovy dance rhythms and
bass-lines all infused with live musicianship. They seamlessly blend an
eclectic variety of styles and genres; trance, drum and bass, techno, breaks
and dub all feature and are tinged with pure psychedelia. Also in the mix is a
distinct taste for ethnic instruments and influences.
