Growing up with organ lessons at an early age, Lars 'LB.' Behrenroth
music was an important part in his youth. He took it to the next step
when he spun at a local danceschool party at age 15 in 1986. Ever
since he makes people dance to his music all over the world.
In 1996 he started co-hosting the show House Sound of Hamburg on a
local community station. From Jan. 1998 till the end of the station
in Oct. 1999 he hosted HSH on the europewide broadcasting electronic
& dance radiostation Evosonic Radio, which would soon be a weekly
three-hour housemusic-mixshow with guestmixes from the likes of Deep
Swing, Mateo&Matos, Paul Johnson, DJ Pierre and many more.
Lars 'LB.' also started a 60minute-show on the internetbroadcast
station Streetsound in 1998 as well as putting together CyberRadio
where he was also responsible for the nightprogramming and mixshow -
coordination, which featured underground dancemusic ONLY. Together
with Constantin Groll he hosted the longest housemusic-mixshow on the
net - GlobalHouseConnection - with 8 hours each Sat. night.
When he attended the School of Audio Engineering in Hamburg, Germany
in 1996 his first remixes were released on a local label. After that
he started the productionteam "Birth of Cool" with his former partner
Michael Carstensen. About a year and a few remixes later they decided
to split up to focus on their own styles. In 1999 Lars 'LB.' joined
the Records of Interest family and signed a publishing deal with
"Just a groovy song". From now on he uses the name BOC Productions
and released an EP on Raw Sienna, UK and a 12" on Chez Music, NYC
(remixed by Alan Braxe) along with remixes for Kathy Brown's "Happy
People", Rotess' "Electrica Salsa" and others. 2000 saw Lars 'LB.'s
remixes for 95 North records, The Rurals on ROI, DeepSwing etc.!
Lars 'LB.' Behrenroth started off the year 2001 with a production on
Compost Recordings, released his debut album (15track CD) on TOI in
august (first single was Excursions released in May2001 and remixed
by The Rurals and Glissando Bros. Also a creation of 2001 was a new
project named TALK (Lars together with T-Kolai from DC,USA). The
first production 'cookie jar' was released on Vinylicious. Lars last
treat in 2001 was a remix (together with Sweet Abraham of Diaspora
Rec.) for DUBTRIBE SOUNDSYSTEM's Do it now which was released on ROI.
2002 brought you Lars Behrenroth vs. Sweet Abraham 'The Breeze' on a
compilation named DEEPCHORDS (Lab Records, Germany), Lars Marble
beats on the Decks & Faders compilation (EFA) and a lot of remixes
(like Q-Burns This Time) and other 12"s. 2003 saw a deep techy vocal
on Belgium's Foreplay Rec., an EP on Nordic Trax, an own label, more
remixes, ie. for Jaymz Nylon, The Rurals etc.
2004 and Lars Behrenroth returns with this solo EP on the German
Auris Recordings label..deep house music at it's moodiest moment.
