  "Hudson River Runway"

On 15 January 2009, an Airbus A320, operated
by US Airways Flight 1549, encounters a bird
strike with a flock of Canada geese approximately
1.5 minutes after taking off from LaGuardia Airport
in New York en route to Charlotte/Douglas Airport.

The flight lasted for 6 minutes when the plane
ditched into the Hudson River, amazingly leaving
  all on board alive.
