continuous mix of the records which helped to shape the Chicago House
Music scene of the late 1980's. As probably the most influential Producer
and DJ in Chicago's House Music history, Marshall cites his No.1 mainstream
influence as being the Salsoul label, which provided the template which
fueled the slew of great records which emerged from Chicago from the
mid 1980's.
"My Salsoul: The Foundations Of House" has been on Marshall's
agenda for the last 12 months and the result shows in the sheer awesome
quality of the mixes and sequencing which manage to combine numerous
re-edits and studio wizardry to present an awesome none-stop two CD mix
sequence which combines the original 12" mixes with the best of the new
re-edits and remixes. The track listing reads like a who's who of the
greatest Salsoul classics but you've never heard 'em like this before!
