: The groups name in fact was thought up by Ruth and Paul :
: when they were trekking through Europe and is French :
: for "midnight". Interestingly enough, while we were all :
: safe at home watching the horrific images from Kosovo, :
: two thirds of the group were in the thick of it, :
: working for the UN as volunteer peacekeepers!! The :
: title of the album "The 88" comes from a Russian :
: choose-your-own-adventure novel published back in the :
: 1980's. Every aspect of the album has been meticulously :
: conceived, with the independent label Tardus, based in :
: Auckland, constructing a striking album cover (a :
: cardboard fold out with the numeral's 88 hole punched :
: through) as fashionable as the music enclosed. :

: The music unquestionably dives deep into an abstruse, :
: captivating array of musical emotions, with every track :
: opening the listeners ears to the possibility of new :
: thoughts and feelings. Many tracks are quite like :
