Gok Wan signs up to star in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Birmingham 
Hippodrome as he attempts to fulfil a lifelong dream of becoming a star of the stage.
Appearing alongside fellow cast members John Partridge, Stephanie Beacham and Gary 
Wilmot, and under the watchful eye of panto director Michael Harrison, Gok has three 
weeks to get ready as he learns to sing and master the art of flying on a wire.
From building the set to creating the costumes, the magic of this Christmas tradition 
is revealed and the enduring appeal of panto explored. But will the pressure of 
delivering a solo show-stopping tune and a succession of against-the-clock costume 
changes prove too much for the fashion expert?
