| | Blame's first release for a while sees him | |
| | picking up where he left off, experimenting | |
| | with the harder, technological sound he | |
| | pioneered. 'Spectre' sets the scene with | |
| | echoey hi-hats, a subterranean bassline, | |
| | twisted rhythms and frenetic beats that | |
| | create an eerie vibe that's darkly soulful. | |
| | Robotic beats, technoid bass stabs and deep | |
| | athmospherics form the backbone of 'Binary | |
| | Sunset' and when they're coupled with the | |
| | subtle textures of the warm keys and | |
| | rapid-fire metallic breaks it becomes a | |
| | sophisticated slice of high-octane electro. | |
| | 'Sigma' is a reworking of an unreleased tune: | |
| | filtered hooks, retro drums give it the Blame | |
| | sound but it's the lightning beats, swirling | |
| | FX and bubbling percussion riding over | |
| | whispered vocals that give it a 'traveling | |
| | through hyperspace feel'. A classic. The | |
| | final track, 'Point 4', is a twisted Amen | |
| | track that has been causing much damage on | |
| | dancefloors. Wave upon wave of strings make | |
| | the vibe moody until the tension breaks with | |
| | a barrage of beats, a funky kick-drum, a | |
| | unique break and some otherworldly FX. | |
