| | Palpitating drum hits and wood block melody | |
| | intro "Conflicted". A light echo on the synth | |
| | stabs gives it a bit of a dubby/dreamy | |
| | effect. FX'd out sample and bassy stabs come | |
| | in the early breakdown and then you get | |
| | clubbed over the head with a hard amen fest. | |
| | At the midway point, you'll have sworn you | |
| | crossed over a time portal back to 1996 when | |
| | darkness reigned supreme. Evil bass is pushed | |
| | to it's growly limits while the amens go to | |
| | the sushi bar for some expert slicing. It's | |
| | got a great mixable outro too. Nice one. | |
| | Swanky, sustained strings are the first thing | |
| | you hear on the flip. Then along comes a | |
| | floaty female vocal sample. Hard amens aren't | |
| | too far behind and bust in like a battering | |
| | ram with some squishy bass that seems to | |
| | compliment the beats like fish compliments | |
| | chips. What I like most about Jungleboy is | |
| | he's not afraid to chop the drums and throw | |
| | in breakdown interludes with entirely new | |
| | patterns. One to pick up if you like that old | |
| | school cut up feel. | |
| | | |
| | "Conflicted" is my favorite. | |
