Having quickly become one of the best underground breakbeat labels,
Freakaboom's latest release is sure to please, and keeps up the pace
of their development as a label.
Thusfar I've enjoyed every single track that Switchshift has touched,
and this release is not at all an exception. Being beat-intensive
laid-back roller with solid, sharp bassline work, spacey pads & unique
vocal samples, makes this track a must have. It's really as simple as
that.
But wait! There's more. The flip sees Databass at the controls,
sharpening the beat, making greater use of the vocal samples, and
working a new groove into the Original. It's less "easy going", but
just as effective. Both tracks should quickly find a place in any
breakbeat set, or even with a 4/4 DJ who isn't afraid to try new things.
Verdict: 9/10
Enjoy!
Rip quality: 9/10
