'No Nonsense' is the aptly-named compilation CD from Melbourne's
own Zero Tolerance label. Formed 4 years ago to provide an outlet
for locally-produced underground club tracks, their first release
was Narcotik's blissful `Blue' and `12 Miles' which quickly found
it's way onto Sasha's `Live In San Francisco' Global Underground CD.
This was followed by the Hi-Fi Bugs seminal breaks tune `Lydian & The
Dinosaur' which quickly became another Sunny anthem.
Since then, Zero Tolerance tracks have graced mix compilations by
Nick Warren, Dave Seaman and Melbourne's own Anthony Pappa.
Their vinyl has been spun and charted by most if not all of the world's
leading progressive, tribal and breaks DJs. Sunny's favourite live act,
Nubreed, have no less than 3 tracks on the CD, while Sunny resident
Gab Olivier has been involved with no less than 11 of the 19 tracks
featured.
Fitting then that Gab was asked to mix the second of the two discs
on the album. While disc one features well known and loved ZT tunes
like Nubreed's 'Welcome' and 'Food for Thought' in unmixed format,
disc two showcases the upcoming releases, mixed with his usual
attention to detail by Gab.
