This record is actually 90% recycled. Mack Formway and I had ██░
developed a friendship and he was making a lot of heaters at ██
the time. He was trying hard to convince me to give music ██
another shot but I just wasn't having it. I'd recently ██
transferred to UW after getting rejected from UCLA (despite ██
a 4.0 gpa, by the way FUCK UCLA) ..... and at the time I was ██
focused on building a life in the real world. Financial aid ██
money was flowing, me, my girl, and my doberman were living ██
large, I had no intention of fucking it all up to hang out ██
in some sweaty clubs with a bunch of douches. ██
██
So Mack asked if he could have a bunch of old vocal files, ██
strip the beats and make new songs. I had a stockpile ██
sitting on a hard drive, so I handed em over and Art ██
Vandelay was born. I think two of them we're new songs, but ██
the rest we're all remade. With zero effort in promotion the ██
record actually got some love from a few local critics and ██
alt hip-hop fans dying for a def jux revival. ██
