────■ DESCRiPTiON ■────
Each story is seen through the eyes of the people involved, using their
own unique and visceral user generated content, archive footage and testimony
by key personnel. The stories include Paula and her boyfriend Rod, whose road
trip up a mountain track in the Sierra Nevada mountains to see their favourite
camping spot in the snow ends in tragedy. Kristoffer Carlsson, a very experienced
skier, is skiing off piste with friends in Verbier, when he triggers an avalanche.
His helmet camera captures the terrifying experience as he is buried alive under
two metres of snow. In Chicago, Lonnie Washington is commuting home, a journey
which usually takes 30 minutes, when he is caught in the cityÆs worst snowstorm
and finds himself trapped in his car. After 10 hours, he is terrified that if he
keeps running his engine he will poison himself û if he doesnÆt, he will die of
the cold. Thinking that these could be his final hours, Lonnie starts filming on
his mobile phone. Some of these victims made foolish decisions; others were simply
in the wrong place at the wrong time. All found themselves in the terrifying
situation of being in a snow-trapped hell.
