"Under his alter-ego of Blue Noise, Rik Fox has steadily begun to make
quite a name for himself. Since releasing the 'Gold EP' and 'Sonorous'
on Slide (the latter of which attracted serious plaudits from the likes
of Nick Warren, Silicone Soul and Colin Dale), Rik's reputation as a top
class producer has soared. His 'Numbray' release on Creative sold like
hotcakes and his forthcoming material on Pied Piper looks like
continuing the trend. The 'Modular EP' marks the third release for Blue
Noise on Slide Recordings and the seventh in the Belfast labels already
impressive catalogue.
Whether it's the West Coast inspired chugging groove of 'Modular', the
sub-sonic bass loaded beauty of 'Substate' with its gliding pads and
