uggh ? how is it a bad mux  and only playsback in vlc only now let me
get this correct you only have vlc installed and right ? never thought
about installing other mediaplayers right ? allow me to show you
a vlc / mpc / gom all playing this EDL perfectly :P
check the rar file plays.fine.derrr.rar

now regarding line 128:

vlc mpc gom seems to play the file fine //check
LAV splitter works //check
ffmpeg splitter works //check

uggh ? are you sure you just dont only and cant seem to work out how to
use other players.
my advice update your codecs and splitters and maybe use a better OS
how about using ubuntu or windows and throw out that crap macbook
